Rua de Marratxí, Mallorca Carnival

As usual, the Rua de Marratxí will announce the arrival of the Carnival in Mallorca on February 15th. This municipality is one of the first to welcome this social and cultural event with deep-rooted popular tradition.

One of the new features of this year’s Rúa is that it will take place on Saturday, February 15, and not on Sunday, as had happened in recent years. Troupes interested in participating can process registration in the Culture area of the City Council, by calling 971 79 76 24, until Wednesday, February 12.

The prizes for the best costumes are:

1st prize: €600
2nd prize: €450
3rd prize: €300

Marratxí is a Spanish municipality in Mallorca, in the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands, located to the northeast from the Balearic capital, Palma de Mallorca, and is also the first municipality in the Raiguer region, which extends to the bay of Alcudia, in the north of the island.
